Occupational Health and Environmental Issues Committee Development of Emission Factors for Polyamide [Nylon] Processing. Published July 2001, this study generated emission factors for estimating emissions from polyamide resin processing. Seven types of polyamide blends were extruded at melt temperatures of 475 to 550 degrees Farenheit. Resin and process differences must be considered and professional judgment used when estimating emissions for regulatory purposes. This publication is no longer available from SPI.
