Over the last six years in his role as Chief Operating Officer, it has been Jeremy Kaluzna’s job to oversee Meadoworks’ global offering of asset management, surplus inventory, trade-in and auction/liquidation solutions available to the plastics industry. This experience has provided an opportunity for Jeremy to learn about the diverse types of companies that comprise PLASTICS and led to his involvement with FLiP.
“I’m honored to have been chosen by my peers to lead FLiP into 2021 alongside Jon Smalling and am grateful to the team at Meadoworks for the support that allows me to do so.”
There has been a paradigm shift in the way business is conducted: daily office commutes have become walks to the kitchen and travel has given way to Zoom meetings. At a time when the world is in transition, so too are PLASTICS members and the entire industry. Throughout manufacturing, we are seeing an increased focus on sustainability while also beginning the transition to a younger generation of employees. Alongside sustainability, the COVID-19 pandemic has shined a spotlight on the importance of plastic as the key material behind PPE, IV supplies and vaccine administering syringes.
As Meadoworks has been supplying its customers with critical machinery to injection mold N95 masks and extrude filtration material while simultaneously assisting them with monetizing and managing idle or surplus assets, Jeremy has been actively engaged with his fellow FLiP members, maximizing opportunities to advance their businesses and careers in the plastics industry.
“Hiring and sustaining talented personnel in the industry workforce is a mission-critical objective in sustaining the industry itself.”
FLiP was established six years ago to foster professional growth, networking and camaraderie while preparing future leaders for more senior roles within the industry. Throughout that time, FLiP has experienced tremendous engagement and growth. With members holding titles ranging from entry-level positions through C-suite executive posts. FLiP is well on its way to fulfilling its vision of “a fully engaged next generation in PLASTICS.”
With its Continuing Education programming, networking and mentorship opportunities, FLiP can help your company achieve next-generation success. The future of your business depends on the cultivation and training of that next generation to enable future growth and light the way in succession planning.
Are your employees under 40 involved in FLiP? If not, please reach out to Jeremy Kaluzna or Jon Smalling; they welcome the opportunity to discuss the benefits available to your employees and organization through FLiP.
